J-Hope Previews ‘Hope on the Stage’ Grand Finale in Concert Film Trailer

J-Hope is closing his Hope on the Stage Tour with a bang. The musician has shared the official trailer for Hope on the Stage in Japan: Live Viewing, the concert film capturing the final show of his headlining tour. The film will broadcast live from the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, in theaters internationally on Saturday, May 31.

The trailer cuts together footage from throughout the tour, which kicked off in February with a three-show run at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. J-Hope also took the stage in Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, Los Angeles, Manila, Saitama, Singapore, and Jakarta. He still has shows remaining in Bangkok, Macau, and Taipei.

The run concludes with two final shows in Osaka. Though the final show is scheduled for June 1, the film will broadcast with a time delay in most countries. Tickets are available now via select theaters.

The concert footage is set to J-Hope’s 2022 single “Arson,” which appears early on his show setlist. He also performs “On the Street,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Mona Lisa,” and more. For a stretch of his set, J-Hope performs a run of BTS songs including “Silver Spoon,” “Mic Drop,” “Dis-ease,” and more.

Earlier this year, J-Hope told Rolling Stone that he looked to his bandmate SUGA for advice ahead of the tour, but also wanted to maintain a sense of distinction between everyone’s solo efforts. “I sought advice from him on the overall structure of the tour,” he said. “As for the performances, we each bring a unique set of strengths to the stage, so I focused on shaping the production to reflect what I wanted to explore in various ways. A live band will be part of it, of course.”

He added that “completing my ongoing solo tour while maintaining good health is on the top of my bucket list,” saying: “I believe Hope on the Stage is the tour that will show every facet of who I am. It’s a window into the full scope of J-Hope.”
