j-hope Kicks Off New Era With ‘MONA LISA’ & Miguel Collab

j-hope kicks off his new era with two new tracks: “MONA LISA” and a collab with Miguel, “Sweet Dreams.” The BTS star explains why he wanted to work with Miguel, blending pop and R&B sounds and more in the latest Billboard News’ Music You Should Know.

j-hope:

“Mona Lisa”

Person:

He wants something cool and sexy.

j-hope:

Anyone would be overjoyed to see their music enter the charts.

Tetris Kelly:

j-hope is driving ARMY wild with his new single and, from his smooth track with Miguel to the brand new bop, we’re breaking down the new music from our Hope as seen in his new film.

j-hope:

But I’ve never seriously tried out any sexy concepts, you know?

Tetris Kelly:

The catchy dance-heavy video, has ARMY embracing j-hope’s flirty new swagger.

j-hope:

The pitch is a bit high. Right? I thought so too. It’s not a nice sound. It’s a little too high.

Producer:

Since it gets higher even after going into the first verse, should we go down a key there?

j-hope:

To be honest, I didn’t feel that it would be enough to do a tour with just the songs I already had. Hmmm sweet, cute and a little sexy.

Jimmy Fallon:

How did you get together with Miguel and what is the inspiration behind the song besides R&B?

j-hope:

Miguel is an artist I’ve respected very much since I was a kid. I’ve always wanted to meet and work with him. All that matters is that people who love me, love my music. I hope it goes well.
