‘Ibiza final boss’ reveals identity after bob cut becomes viral sensation

The man dubbed the ‘Ibiza final boss’ by bemused social media users has revealed his identity after going viral for his distinct haircut.

On Sunday (August 3), San Antonio promoters Zero Six West Ibiza shared a clip of him, in which he’s seen donning a gold chain, sunglasses and what X/Twitter users have dubbed the now infamous “Friar Tuck trim”.

In a video that’s now garnered over 16million views, they asked their followers to help identify the “absolute legend” so they could give him some free tickets, although most were more concerned with cracking jokes about his haircut.

“Ibiza at 11, bullying King John to sign the Magna Carta at 12,” one TikTok user wrote, with another commenting: “Short back and battle of Hastings please, that’ll be £10.66.”

He’s since addressed the viral video and revealed himself to be Jack Kay, “a normal person from Newcastle” who announced that he had some “big news coming”.

Despite all of the the “Monastery of Sound” comments, he appeared to be taking the jokes in good spirits, earning praise in the comment section for taking it in stride.

Taking to Instagram Stories, he wrote: “Appreciate all the love and messages of everyone. I will get back to everyone quick [as] I can. It’s just a lot for me to take in at the moment. I am just a normal person from Newcastle.

“It’s crazy, stay locked in, got some big news coming.”

His appearance in the viral video also caught the attention of Tony Truman, the co-owner of Ibizan nightclub Ocean Beach, who was later pictured with Kay.

Last month, founder Wayne Lineker brought the flagship club from the sunny beaches of the island to Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire for a one-off weekend event.
