Released yesterday (November 3) via CUBE Entertainment, the project consists of seven tracks: ‘Reno’ featuring Colde, ‘Say My Name’, ‘F.F.L.Y’, ‘Space Invader’, ‘You And No One Else’, ‘Petal Shower’ and ‘Show’.

Miyeon also released a music video for ‘Say My Name’ yesterday (November 3). The video sees the i-dle star walk through a dark, empty train station only to find a man standing alone. As she approaches him, he walks away, signifying a missed connection. This theme carries out in other settings throughout the video.

Speaking to press at a media showcase in Seoul, per The Korea Herald, the singer said of her new mini-album: “It’s been nearly three years since I last released an album in my name, so I had a lot on my mind, and I felt pressured to show a better version of myself. This time, I went for songs that feel genuine and perfectly suit the autumn season.”

“Since I wanted to express deeper emotions, I naturally found myself drawn to the theme of love,” she explained about its themes. “Love can be reflected in so many kinds of relationships, not just romantic and singer-fan relationships. I wanted the lyrics to feel universal, so that anyone listening could find something to relate to.”

The new EP comes around three years after she released her debut solo EP, ‘My’. That EP scored a four-star review from NME, with Rhian Daly writing: “A record that ignores current trends and instead opts for what suits its creator best, Miyeon’s debut solo release is an incredibly promising first glimpse at what she’s capable of outside (G)I-DLE. Like the flowers she sings of on ‘Rose’, ‘My’ finds the singer beginning to bloom and with even brighter days ahead of her yet.”
