Foo Fighters broke out a stacked set full of fan favourites, deep cuts, and unreleased material at their intimate London show last night (Wednesday February 26). Check out footage, photos and the full setlist below.

The band announced details of their upcoming 12th studio album ‘Your Favorite Toy’ last week – a record frontman Dave Grohl said will be stacked with “noisy, loud bangers” that feel like they come from “the old days”.

Then, just days later (Sunday February 22), the band revealed that they would be playing three small shows this week week, held at Dublin’s Academy, London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Manchester’s O2 Ritz.

Fans had to queue outside the respective venues at 12pm to try and get tickets, which were handed out on a first come, first serve basis. They were priced at £99 each and limited to two tickets per person.

Things kicked off with the Dublin show on Monday (February 23), and was followed up with an intense, adrenaline-filled stop at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire last night.

Grohl and co kicked things off with their standalone single classic first album cut and debut single ‘This Is A Call’, before launching into fan favourite ‘All My Life’.

As seen in Dublin, the rock giants also played a currently unreleased new song from their upcoming album called ‘Of All People’, before breaking out huge hits like ‘My Hero’, ‘Learn To Fly’, and ‘The Pretender’.

“I’ve got to be honest, this is what it felt like 30 years ago,” Grohl said after playing deep-cut ‘La Dee Da’ for the “old school motherfuckers” in the crowd.

“I’m so happy. If you hear me laughing in the middle of songs, it’s because I’m so happy that we’re still here. When I say we, I mean us,” he added, before joking that they were going to end the show before they even hit the halfway mark. “I think we should play here every night if it’s like this. We will do a residency here for the rest of our fucking lives.”

The set also saw Foos break out one of the first live performances of their new single and album title track ‘Your Favorite Toy’, before following it up with ‘No Son Of Mine’, ‘Run’ and ‘Aurora’ – dedicating the latter to their friends and family in the audience.

Later in the set, Grohl shared that he saw a photo backstage of himself playing at the venue over 30 years ago with Nirvana, and joked that he couldn’t believe he was back again. He also introduced a deep-cut called ‘A320’, describing it as a song he considers “one of our best”, although “not many people have heard of it”.

He then added that the performance would mark one of the first times they had played it in 25 years.

From there, the band played ‘Best Of You’, before returning to play 1995’s ‘Exhausted’ and classic 1997 hit ‘Everlong’ as the encore, also joining a young fan on the stage for their final bow. Check out more footage below, as well as the full setlist.

The intimate UK gigs wrap up with a slot at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on Friday (February 27).

After their new album drops on April 24, Foos will embark on a European stadium tour that will include two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium at the end of June. They will then head over to North America for the second leg of their stadium tour, before wrapping things up with an Australian and New Zealand run in late 2026 and early 2027. Find any remaining tickets here.

As well as announcing their new album last week – the follow up to 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’ and also featuring last year’s single ‘Asking For A Friend’ – the band also shared its massive title track. That was given a four-star review by NME and described as a “futureproof rock beast” that is “snarlingly unapologetic”.

Since they announced news of the album, Grohl has admitted that he found it “really complicated” to continue with the band after the unexpected death of Taylor Hawkins in 2022, and shared that he thinks every one of their albums could have been their “last”.

The band also played their new single ‘Your Favorite Toy’ for the first time on The Graham Norton Show.
