Here’s What Leah Remini Has to Say About Jennifer Lopez Feud Rumors

No bad blood here. Leah Remini addressed the status of her friendship with Jennifer Lopez in a new interview this week.

The Flight Risk actress told Us Weekly that she reconnected with her longtime friend after the superstar’s highly publicized split from Ben Affleck and her own divorce from ex-husband Angelo Pagán after more than 20 years of marriage, saying, “Right after the divorce, we’d text each other loving messages of support.”

Still, rumors have persisted for years that the once-close besties — who put their chemistry onscreen in the 2018 rom-com Second Act — are on the outs. But Remini insisted to the magazine that there’s no such feud happening.

“Sometimes you don’t talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn’t mean the love is lost,” she stated. “Friendships ebb and flow. … I have many friends that I don’t talk to every day. That doesn’t mean we’re at odds — it’s just that I’m at a different place and so are they.”

While Lopez hasn’t spoken publicly about her friendship with Remini, she’s certainly had a jam-packed schedule over the last several weeks. On Memorial Day, she hosted and performed at the 2025 American Music Awards before announcing her forthcoming Las Vegas residency, Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night. This weekend, she’s set to headline the first night of the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, D.C.

Next, J.Lo is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman, opposite Diego Luna and Tonatiuh. The movie musical, which is inspired by the Tony-winning 1993 Broadway musical by Kander and Ebb, is set to premiere in theaters on Oct. 10.
