Morgan Wallen makes history on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated Aug. 1 as “Don’t We” hits No. 1. The song is the seventh leader on the list from the superstar’s 2025 album I’m the Problem, which becomes the first set to have spun off that many No. 1s via only an original version.
The album is also one of only five ever to generate at least six No. 1s on a Billboard radio chart. Four have done so on Country Airplay and one on Pop Airplay. Wallen is the only artist with two such collections, as I’m the Problem’s haul follows 2023’s One Thing at a Time, which produced six Country Airplay chart-toppers.
“Morgan’s a transformational artist,” says Radio One Houston director of operations Travis Moon, who also handles day-to-day programming for Country Airplay chart panelist KKBQ. “Not everyone’s transformational, but when they are, the listener expectations are that we’re playing their music, and the thing with Morgan is, every song is great.
“It sounds like an understatement, but it’s not,” Moon continues. “It’s not just, ‘It’s a new Morgan song’ and you get diminishing returns. The music’s got big-time shelf life, even to the point where we’ve broken traditional rotation rules. Listeners want to hear it. The music’s just been so good.”
Below, Billboard recaps the elite five albums, all released since 2010, that have blanketed radio with six or more No. 1s each on airplay charts, thanks to both original and deluxe editions. All five sets topped the Billboard 200, with airplay for their singles having helped extend their runs on the chart — beyond I’m the Problem, which has spent its first 62 weeks on the ranking and counting in the top 10, the others have amassed stays of between 119 and 480 weeks.

Wallen has “gotten like Conway Twitty did, where he just kinda ‘gets it’ in the creative process,” praises Tim Roberts, Audacy vp/country format captain, programming. “He’s creating mass-appeal, lyrically strong product. Whether he cowrites or not, he’s great at identifying what works for his fans, and artistically.” When a new Wallen single is released, Roberts notes of its potential at radio, “Obviously, his track record is impeccable. It’s been consistently great, so that’s a factor. That puts you to the front of the class.”
