Hear Megan Thee Stallion team up with Spiritbox for fierce new single ‘TYG’

Megan Thee Stallion and Spiritbox have joined forces again for a fierce new track, ‘TYG’ – check it out below.

Appearing on Stallion’s new deluxe album ‘MEGAN: Act II’, the rapper and metal band have seemingly fused styles to create a feisty trap-metal track.

The pair previously linked up for a rock remix of Stallion’s 2023 single ‘Cobra’.

Check out ‘TYG’ below:

‘TYG’ is one of several big-name collaborations on Stallion’s new album. Flo Milli appears on the song ‘Roc Steady’ and ‘Act II’ also features a remix of her hit track ‘Mamushi’ featuring K-pop girl group TWICE. ‘Neva Play’ featuring RM of BTS, which she dropped last month, is also included as a bonus track.

In a four-star review of the Stallion’s previous album ‘Megan’, NME’s Karen Gwee wrote that it “flows with a palpably higher level of creative boldness”, calling it “the most vibrant and well-rounded portrait of Megan Thee Stallion we’ve seen yet”.

In other news, the rapper recently revealed that she discovered Sex And The City and she needs the world to know that she is now a superfan.

“Nobody told me Sex and the City was this good!” she said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m pissed. Nobody said, ‘Megan, you should be watching Sex and the City. Girl, this for the culture. Watch it! I don’t even know how I like, stumbled upon it. I think I just kept seeing like, pictures of Sarah Jessica looking pretty as fuck.”

“Her hair, her shoes, her outfits were always so beautiful,” she continued, on the subject of the actor. “And I was like, what is this show? Let me just watch it, let me get into it because nobody put me on.”

“So I started watching the show and I’m like, I cannot look away. This is the best thing! I’m watching it while I’m working out, I’m watching it while I’m in glam, I’m watching it when I don’t have nothing else to do, and I’m a busy girl. I’m like, squeezing Sex and the City in there. And I’m like, asking everybody, ‘Have you seen Sex and the City?”

Stallion will also release a feature documentary In Her Words on Amazon Prime Video on October 31, chronicling the rapper’s rise to fame and her evolution as an artist.

In addition, Spiritbox recently released a new single, ‘Soft Spine’. They will also be performing their biggest UK headline show to date at London’s Alexandra Palace on February 13, 2025 – buy any remaining tickets here.
