Hear Lainey Wilson Hop on Aerosmith and Yungblud’s ‘Wild Woman’

“We really needed a female vocalist who could carry it with the level of authenticity that Lainey embodies,” Yungblud says of updated One More Time track

Aerosmith and Yungblud have enlisted Lainey Wilson to join them on an updated version of “Wild Woman,” one of the tracks on their recently released collaborative EP One More Time.

“Wild Woman,” in its original form, was a country-flavored ballad, so Wilson is a natural fit to give the titular character a voice, popping up on the second verse. “I guess I’m just a sucker for the fame /  Ain’t got a white horse I’m a cowboy, baby,” Wilson sings. “I need another chance to live again.”

The trio of artists also shared a new video for the updated “Wild Woman,” featuring all three in the studio.

“I’m really hyped to have Lainey Wilson jump on this record with us,” Yungblud said in a statement. “I have been a fan of hers for a while. Her life story is truly inspirational. With this record, we really needed a female vocalist who could carry it with the level of authenticity that Lainey embodies. We needed a wild woman, and we for sure got one!”

According to a press release, Wilson met Steven Tyler when they performed Aerosmith’s “Dream On” together at Tyler’s 6th annual Jam for Janie benefit in February 2025. After that, Tyler and Yungblud invited her to the studio to be their “Wild Woman,” with Joe Perry also tagging along to record new guitar parts for the updated version.

One More Time was released on November 21 and featured Aerosmith’s first new songs in 12 years. The EP debuted at Number Nine on the Billboard 200, continuing Aerosmith’s streak of six straight decades with a Top 10 release.

Yungblud first encountered Aerosmith when he invited them into the studio for a guest spot on his song “Hello Heaven, Hello.” Their plans quickly expanded into an EP that features four original songs (including first single “My Only Angel“) along with a new mix of the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle.” The pair also performed together during the MTV Video Music Award’s tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
