Hear Carl Cox’s Hybrid Live Set From Seismic Dance Event Fall 2024

“Oh yes, oh yes, Austin!” techno master Carl Cox announced to the crowd at the start of his set at November’s Seismic Dance Event in the Texas capital.

Cox was on hand at the event to play one of his signature Hybrid Live sets, for with he both DJs and employs hardware including drum machines and synthesizers. Cox’s fans will attest that the overall effect is powerful, and acolytes and newbies alike can hear it all for themselves via his full set from the most recent edition from Seismic Dance Event, which you can listen to below, only on Billboard.

Seismic Dance Event is the biannual festival from RealMusic Events, the Austin-based production company founded in 2009 by married couple Kelly Gray and Andrew Parsons. Hosted at The Concourse Project, the Austin indoor-outdoor venue operated by RealMusic Events, Seismic November show presented more than 30 house and techno artists from Nov. 15 to 17, drawing a crowd of thousands.

Of their most recent show, Gray and Parsons tell Billboard, “This edition was a special one for us! We’re honored to be receiving such overwhelming love for this edition of Seismic. As a boutique and independent festival for house and techno in Austin, Texas, we pour our heart and souls into this to provide a unique and intimate experience with such phenomenal talent.”

The lineup for November’s event featured Cox, along with the other headliners Disclosure, Eric Prydz and Gesaffelstein, in addition to more than two dozen other acts including Sammy Virji, Orbital and Hannah Wants.

“We look forward to sharing these sets so everyone who attended can relive the moments, catch what they may have missed, and for others to get a dose of Seismic, but nothing beats doing it in person so on that note, we look forward to the return in 2025!”
