Harry Styles Las Vegas Residency Plans Aren’t Just False Rumors, They Were ‘Never’ Discussed at All

Earlier this month, unconfirmed reports about Harry Styles planning an extensive 35-date residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas made rounds online. Initially reported by the New York Post, news that the musician was “in final negotiations” for the show didn’t just take fans by surprise — it was news to the organizers at the venue, too. Not because the rumors made their way to the public but because they were entirely unfounded.

“To set the record straight, there has never been plans for Harry Styles to perform at Sphere,” a spokesperson for the Sphere told Billboard.

Following the New York Post report on March 7, fans rejoiced at the idea of Styles bringing the “Hrought” to an end after nearly two years. They shared pictures of the musician with the word “Employed” stamped across his face and started battles about who in the fandom would attend the most shows. When the Sun initially debunked the rumor on March 8, citing “sources close” to the singer, they reposted the same photos, only this time with the word “Unemployed.”

In July 2023, Styles concluded Love on Tour, the live show that spanned 169 shows over the course of two years. The end of the run was commemorated with a three-minute long video comprised of footage from the tour highlighting the community fans built with each other around the music. “To the most inspiring people I know,” Styles captioned the video. “Goodbye for now. Love On Tour forever.”

In a separate post to his Instagram story, Styles took one final bow. “It’s been the greatest experience of my entire life,” he wrote. “I feel so incredibly full and happy. It’s all because of you. You have given me memories that will last a lifetime, more than I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your love. It’s been an honor to play for you. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Look after each other, I’ll see you again when the time is right. Treat People With Kindness. I love you more than you’ll ever know.”
