‘GTA 6’ fans are losing their minds over Travis Scott tease

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are losing their minds after Travis Scott included a not-so-subtle tease about the hit game in his latest music video.

The original teaser trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 was soundtracked by Tom Petty’s ‘Love Is A Long Road’ while trailer two featured Wang Chung’s ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight’, ‘Child Support’ by Zenglen & 5 Etwal and Talkin’ To Myself Again’ by Tammy Wynette as well as The Pointer Sisters’ iconic ‘Hot Together’.

A number of high-profile musicians have also been linked to Grand Theft Auto 6.  ScHoolboy Q has already confirmed his music will be used for the soundtrack, T-Pain has hinted that he was involved in the creation of the long-awaited sequel and Megan Thee Stallion recently shared a Grand Theft Auto-inspired photoshoot, with many fans convinced the ‘HISS’ rapper will make an appearance in the new game

Now fans believe Travis Scott might play a major role in the long-awaited follow-up to Grand Theft Auto 5. Scott released the music video for Jackboys 2 track ‘2000 Excursion’ last week, which features a car with the license plate “GTA6 VI6.”

“They need to give Travis Scott his own Cactus Jack radio station, I’m so serious,” one fan wrote online. “Travis’ aesthetic is perfect for Grand Theft Auto 6,” added another.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Travis Scott’s first foray into the world of video games after the rapper previously staged a huge Fortnite concert back in 2020. The nine-minute virtual gig broke records and reportedly earned Scott more than $20million.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is due to launch May 2026 after it was delayed from its original window of late 2025. “The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and GTA 6 is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve,” developers said in a statement at the time.

Meanwhile Travis Scott is due to headline Reading & Leeds Festivals next month, alongside Chappell Roan, Bring Me The Horizon and Hozier. Reading & Leeds returns the August Bank Holiday weekend between Thursday 21 – Sunday 24 August 2025 at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds.
