‘Good Morning Britain’ accidentally airs c-word during Delta Goodrem interview about Mighty Hoopla

Good Morning Britain released a formal apology after it aired a shot of an explicit word during an interview with Delta Goodrem.

The Australian star, who recently represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest, was a guest on today’s (Wednesday June 3) episode of the morning show, aired on ITV.

While discussing some forthcoming live dates to support her new album, the show aired footage of her recent surprise performance at the Mighty Hoopla Festival. The clip included a member of the crowd holding up a fan which displayed the ‘C-Word’, with viewers sharing screenshots of the accidental moment online.

A spokesperson for the programme told The Sun: “We apologise to any viewers offended by the accidental appearance of the expletive which was featured in concert footage. As soon as the error was discovered it was corrected and didn’t appear in the +1 and ITVX versions.”

Goodrem joined a line-up that included Lily Allen, Scissor Sisters, Jessie J, Five and more, with the festival taking place last weekend (May 30-31) at Brockwell Park in South London. It is one of the largest LGBTQ+ festivals in Europe, with the organisers joining forces with Transgender charity Not A Phase to hold the fundraiser Trans Mission in March.

Highlights from the festival included Saturday headliner Lily Allen being joined on stage by JADE, as the pair gave their remix of the song ‘Beg For Me’ its live debut. Fellow headliners Scissor Sisters were joined by Sir Ian McKellen, Kelly Osbourne, and Belinda Carlisle during their Sunday set.

As for Goodrem, she took to the Mighty Hoopla stage for the second time at the weekend, having played the Australian version in February. She took to Instagram to thank the festival, saying it was “a home away from home” and thanking the crowd for singing along to her song ‘Lost Without You’.
