Future Announces ‘Mixtape Pluto’ Release Date, Shares ‘Too Fast’ Trailer

Rapper has also teased that the upcoming project will feature Travis Scott and Pharrell

Future is starting the fall with a new project. On Wednesday, the rap star announced that he’ll release his Mixtape Pluto on Sept. 20, following his collaborative pair of albums with Metro Boomin earlier this year.

“F*** the publicity I got this out the mud,” wrote Future on Instagram, posting a photo of the project’s cover art that features a spooky house with pink hues coming out of its windows. “MIXTAPE PLUTO 9-20-24.”

Future has been teasing the mixtape online for some time, and producer Southside confirmed to XXL that they were working together on the upcoming mixtape. According to a press release, the mixtape is set to feature a collaboration with Travis Scott, who shared a clip of a song called “South of France” on X, formerly Twitter. The rapper has also teased a song called “Lil Demon” and he shared a photo with Pharrell last month, captioning it “Neptune Pluto,” which teases a collaboration with the rapper-producer.

Along with the project announcement on Wednesday, he also shared a teaser of his single “Too Fast” and its video, directed by Kid Art. Along with dropping on digital streaming platforms, Future will also debut a bright green-and-black vinyl record version of the album, along with a merch launch.

The project will follow his arena tour run with Metro Boomin, which wrapped this week. The pair of musicians released collaborative albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You earlier this year, which a Rolling Stone review described as “a compelling, bumpy ride.” Future’s most recent solo album arrived in 2022.
