Flogging Molly Scraps 2025 Shows While Dave King Battles ‘Serious Health Condition’

Flogging Molly have placed their performance plans on hold indefinitely as frontman Dave King battles “a very serious health condition,” the band revealed in a recent social media statement.

The statement refers to King as Flogging Molly’s “fearless leader” and asks family, friends, and fans to respect the privacy of the musician and his wife, Bridget Regan, who also performs with the band. “We will share as we can,” they continue. “Any good thoughts or prayers you can send Dave’s way, he and we would appreciate it.”

Flogging Molly were scheduled to embark on their four-day festival-at-sea Salty Dog Cruise on Feb. 17. This year’s iteration is scheduled to move from Miami to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. More than a dozen bands appear on the lineup, including the Living End, FIDLAR, the Devil Makes Three, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Mariachi El Bronx, the Aggrolites, Good Riddance, Street Dogs, Scowl, and more.

“With the Salty Dog Cruise 12 days away, the boat will sail as planned with 18 bands, and members of Flogging Molly, on board to celebrate the cruise, the community and our captain, Dave King,” Flogging Molly wrote. Beside King and Regan, the band includes Dennis Casey, Matt Hensley, Nathen Maxwell, Spencer Swain, and Mike Alons.

The headlining tour Flogging Molly planned for just after the cruise has been cancelled. The band has instructed fans to contact their point of purchase for refund instructions. The Road to Rebellion tour was scheduled to begin on Feb. 24 in St. Petersburg with support from the Aggrolites and Slaughterhouse.
