Flavor Flav was known for giving nicknames to his Flavor of Love contestants, and now he has a new moniker of his own.
The Public Enemy star sat down as a guest on the most recent episode of Politickin’, hosted by Gavin Newsom, Marshawn Lynch, and Doug Hendrickson. When asked if he has a collab with Taylor Swift in the works, as he’s an outspoken fan of hers, Flav replied, “Not only am I a big Swiftie I have a new name. My new name now is King Swiftie. Flavor Flav is the King of all the Swifties.”
He continued, “I went and saw her show in Hamburg. She blew that s— out the water, man. And she gave me a shoutout from the stage. I love Taylor Swift, man, you know her lyrics, she’s real. She writes about a lot of the things that she’s been through. She keeps it real with her fan base and that’s why I support her, big-time.”

Speaking of keeping it real, Flav also opened up about the difference between music these days and back in the 1980s and 1990s. “Today is a lot different from when we first started putting out record and s—. Back in the day when we were putting out records, they had messages to them,” he explained. “Today you got a whole lot of people just making rap records. There’s a lot of good rap records right now. Today’s records are mostly bragging and boasting and s—, guns, drugs, sex, gang violence. A lot of the records being made today, rap records, is about. But this is the way they’re living in their neighborhoods.”
He concluded, “You got a lot of f—ing fakes out there. Real people do real things and real recognizes real.”
