FINNEAS has joined forces with Ashe to form a new band called The Favors. Check out the new single ‘The Little Mess You Made’ below.
The collaboration follows the pair’s first collaboration back in 2019, when they dropped the single ‘Moral Of The Story’. This was followed by ‘Till Forever Falls Apart’, which dropped two years later.
Now, the two have reunited to start a new project, launching again as a band called The Favors. Today (June 6), to celebrate the announcement, they have dropped a timeless new single called ‘The Little Mess You Made’.
The song captures a similar feel to that of bands like Fleetwood Mac, and takes a decidedly old-school approach. “The little mess you made is filling up our room/ A little bit of rain is filling up our shoes/ Maybe second place is just the first to lose/ You can have your cake, you can have mine too,” Finneas sings in the opening verse, before the two burst into the emotive chorus.

The Favors have announced that the single will feature as part of an upcoming album called ‘The Dream’. Set for release on September 19 via Darkroom Records, the album has been described as containing “era-agnostic songs that are equally appropriate for the last dance in a smoky bar circa 1977 or a sunset slot at Coachella in 2027.”
It also sees inspiration from the likes of The Mamas and the Papas, Carole King, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Simon & Garfunkel, and looks to capture the same warmth of ‘70s pop, along with rich, modern harmonies.
“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album,” said Ashe. “I want you to feel simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken at the same time.”
FINNEAS continued: “People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun. It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning. Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.”

For Finneas, the news comes as the musician and producer recently shared his sophomore album ‘For Cryin’ Out Loud!’, and was confirmed as one of the artists joining Noah Kahan at London’s BST Hyde Park.
