The highly illustrated coffee table book will give fans a glimpse into Fatboy Slim’s – real name Norman Cook – 40 years in showbiz, highlighting what it is like to work in music. It will feature live photos, tour posters, and untold stories of obscure memorabilia he’s collected throughout the years.
A It Ain’t Over ’til the Fatboy Sings pre-order will take place on March 12. Fans can sign up to the waiting list at fatboyslimbook.com to get a special discount when the pre-order begins. Limited editions of the book, which will include added extras, thrills, and surprises, will also be available.
The book will be comprised of over 300 pages and include almost 1000 images of the legendary DJ’s personal photos, flyers, original artwork, flyers and posters that the ‘Funk Soul Brother’ has saved since forming his first band at 15.
Speaking about the book in a press release, Cook shared: “Next year, I’ll be celebrating 40 years in showbiz, and to celebrate that we thought we’d create a big book full of stuff which I’ve kept over the years of my long and chequered career. You’ll see what I’ve kept and read about what it all means in one big, beautiful book.”
At the start of his career, Cool was in various bands including the likes of the Housemartins, Beats International, Freak Power, and Pizzaman. In 1996, he started going by Fatboy Slim and released his debut album ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ that year.
His 1998 LP ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby’ saw him rise to international acclaim. The album – which includes the hit singles ‘Praise You’, ‘Right Here, Right Now’ and ‘Rockafeller Skank’ – is certified platinum.
In other news, late last year, Fatboy Slim revealed that he’d lost his “passion for making music”.
He also previously spoke out against what he called “sick” dynamic ticket pricing for Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour.
