Drake’s third consecutive headline set at Wireless Festival ended after just 40 minutes, much to the disappointment of some fans.
The rapper became the first artist ever to headline the London festival for all three nights this weekend, playing a different setlist on each night at Finsbury Park.
The final set on Sunday night (July 13), however, was shorter than anticipated. He appeared on stage 10 minutes earlier than anticipated, immediately telling the crowd that he would play until his microphone was cut off, in reference to the strict 9:30pm curfew.
At one point, Drake had been advertised to play two sets on Sunday, but the first never materialised. Instead, Drake took to the main stage immediately after the end of Burna Boy’s set shortly before 9pm and played a set that the BBC have reported was “agitated” and “apologetic”, with some songs being “rushed”.

His set included special appearances from Popcaan, Vybz Kartel and Rema, although this made it significantly less star-studded than the previous two nights’ performances. He also played an unreleased collaboration with Central Cee, who did not appear on stage but was shown on the big screens mouthing along to the lyrics from the front row.
Writing on Instagram after the show, Drake said: “Thank you London. Need some time to process what just happened so I don’t have my usual caption…just thank you so much for the best 3 nights of my performance career.”
Friday’s headline set saw Drake celebrate the legacy of R&B and included appearances from Lauryn Hill, Mario, Bobby Valentino, Bryson Tiller, Giveon and PARTYNEXTDOOR. You can read a full roundup here.
Saturday’s show was dubbed ‘Drake & The Mandem’ and saw him bring out a host of figures from the UK rap scene, including J Hus, Skepta, Dave and Central Cee. Read more here.

He also surprise-released a new song, ‘What Did I Miss?’, which seems to call out his fake friends.
It comes after Drake confirmed that he is working on a new solo album back in April, which he said is “a slap”. While little else has been revealed about the album – including its release date – it will mark the rapper’s first solo record since 2023’s ‘For All The Dogs’.
