Cash was crowned the winner of Estonia’s selection competition Eesti Laul by clinching the public vote with ‘Espresso Macchiato’, a controversial caricature of Italian culture that garnered both bemusement and anger from viewers, with some demanding it to be banned for it’s stereotypical lyrics.

The rapper-singer recently spoke to NME about the inspirations behind the provocative song, clarifying that while some took it as a “joke entry”, he was “really serious” about his prospects of winning.

The final of this year’s contest took place last weekend (May 17), and saw Austria come out on top with 436 votes for singer-songwriter JJ, beating Israel’s Yuval Raphael. Cash finished in third place with 356 points.

He will now be taking his distinctive performance style across venues in Europe this autumn, making stops in Belgium, Italy, France, Spain and London, with the latter headline show taking place at Heaven on October 9 – check here for to the show in the capital.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 23) at 10am, check below for a full list of dates and visit here for tickets.

In his previous chat with NME, Cash touched on the idea that a lot of Eurovision artists put out one song and simply perform it repeatedly until they reach the final, but the progression of the campaign was more important to him.

Comparing his efforts to a “caterpillar to a butterfly”, he also noted how “hard” it was to surprise audiences these days. “If I released something similar, it would be very boring for me as an artist,” he added. “I have a lot of songs which have gabber or hip hop backgrounds, they give you this bounce, right?”

His previous releases include ‘PUSSY MONEY WEED’ and an explicit music video parodying the Sex Olympics, with Charli XCX, Joji, Boys Noize and A. G. Cook among his collaboraotrs.
