Eric Clapton announces huge one-off UK show at Sandringham for summer 2026

Eric Clapton has announced details of a one-off show for the UK, taking place next summer.

Set for Sunday August 23, the huge gig will be held at The Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and is the first show to be revealed for the 2026 summer series, which will run between August 20 and 23.

The show will see the guitar icon break out classics including ‘Layla’ and ‘Wonderful Tonight’, as well as newer tracks from his most recent album, ‘Meanwhile’, which dropped last year.

“Eric Clapton is one of the greatest musicians of all time and it’s a dream come true for all of us at HeritageLive Festivals to have him play at The Sandringham Estate for us next August,” said Giles Cooper of HeritageLive Festivals. “It’s going to be such a special and unique event – one of those gigs where you say in years to come ‘I was there!’. We just can’t wait!”

Tickets go on sale next Friday (December 5) at 9am GMT, and the pre-sale will kick off on Wednesday (December 3) at the same time. Visit here for tickets, and here to register for pre-sale access.

The live show in Sandringham comes following the former Cream legend heading out on a headline tour of the US earlier this year in celebration of his aforementioned latest album.

That record was his 22nd studio album and saw guest features from Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago, and Simon Climie. For the live shows, he is joined on stage by bassist Nathan East, drummer Edward ‘Sonny’ Emory III, guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, keyboardists Tim Carmon and Chris Stainton, and backing vocalists Sharon White and Katie Kissoon.

Before the US tour kicked off in September, MTV confirmed details of a feature-length special about the former Yardbird, titled Eric Clapton Unplugged… Over 30 Years Later, and the three-time Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee also made a cameo alongside Shania Twain in Spinal Tap’s “final” concert movie, Stone Henge: The Final Finale.

This year’s edition of live shows held at The Sandringham Estate included headline performances from Pet Shop Boys, Mariah Carey, Stereophonics, and Michael Bublé.
