The legendary singer-songwriter and pianist will close out this year’s edition of the huge motor racing event, which is due to take place between October 3-5.

Over two years on from concluding his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour with an emotional concert in Stockholm, Sweden, Sir Elton will make his highly-anticipated return to the stage in Singapore on Sunday October 5.

He’ll deliver a bill-topping performance on the Padang Stage in Zone 4 after the F1 race to bring the weekend to a close.

Sir Elton appears on the bill alongside K-pop star G-Dragon, who’ll kick off the race weekend at the Padang Stage on Friday October 3. This month will see the Big Bang artist release ‘Übermensch’ – his first full-length solo album in over a decade.

According to organisers, more live acts will be announced “soon” for the “three days of non-stop race action” in Singapore. Tickets are on sale now – you can buy yours here. See the announcement post below.

A press release reads: “Race fans are in for a treat as the 2025 Formula 1 season gears up to be a thrilling spectacle, with Lewis Hamilton’s debut with Scuderia Ferrari, and five new faces taking on the tricky turns of the Marina Bay Street Circuit for the very first time as Singapore hosts the 18th round of a gruelling 24-round season.

“This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship and marks the final season of the current V6 hybrid turbo power unit configuration.”

Elton John previously told fans that he would possibly still play “the odd show” after retiring from touring. Since concluding his mammoth farewell run, he has made live appearances at numerous events.

These include the 50th annual Candlelight Concert in the US last December, and the opening of the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center over the summer. In 2023, Sir Elton played live at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony where he inducted his longtime songwriting partner Bernie Taupin.

Last October, he made a surprise appearance during Dua Lipa’s orchestral show at the Royal Albert Hall in London. In March, he played at the 2024 Gershwin Prize in Washington, D.C. – where he and Taupin were honoured with the Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song.

Sir Elton’s final UK headline performance took place in June 2023, when he delivered a historic, career-spanning set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival.

This April, he will release a new collaborative album with Brandi Carlile called ‘Who Believes In Angels?’. The record is set to feature the Oscar-nominated song ‘Never Too Late’, which was created especially for the Disney+ documentary of the same name.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Sir Elton smashed his iPad and told Carlile to “fuck off” during the making of their forthcoming joint LP.

In other F1 news, it was announced today (February 20) that Sam Fender, RAYE and more will headline the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this year.
