Ella Langley & Riley Green ‘Look’ Good in Country Airplay Chart’s Top 10

Ella Langley’s “You Look Like You Love Me,” featuring Riley Green, climbs into the top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart (dated Oct. 26), pushing two spots to No. 10. The traditional-inflected track increased by 6% to 16.6 million audience impressions Oct. 11-17, according to Luminate.

Langley and Green co-authored the song with Aaron Raitiere, and Will Bundy produced it. It’s from Langley’s 14-track LP Hungover, which opened at its No. 17 best on Top Country Albums in August. A deluxe edition of the set (Still Hungover), sporting 19 songs, is due Nov. 1.

The 25-year-old Langley, from Hope Hull, Ala., notches her first Country Airplay top 10 with her second entry, after “Strangers,” with Kameron Marlowe, reached No. 58 in July. She becomes the first woman to hit the top 10 with an initial entry as a sole lead artist since Ashley Cooke, who sent “Your Place” to No. 2 in June.

Green adds his fourth Country Airplay top 10 and first since Luke Combs’ “Different ‘Round Here,” on which he’s featured, rose to No. 2 in February. His debut entry, “There Was This Girl,” hit No. 3 in March 2019, and Thomas Rhett’s “Half of Me,” featuring Green, led for a week in November 2022.

Post Malone, Shelton ‘Pour’ It On

Post Malone’s “Pour Me a Drink,” featuring Blake Shelton, spends a third week atop Country Airplay (29.7 million, down 5%).

Post Malone’s second leader and Shelton’s 29th is only the fourth to reign for at least three frames among the 20 Country Airplay No. 1s in 2024. The former boasts two of them, as his “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, dominated for four weeks beginning in June. Rounding out the list, Sam Hunt’s “Outskirts” led for three weeks starting in April and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” clinked seven weeks at No. 1 beginning in August.

Meanwhile, Post Malone makes history as he becomes the first artist to send two initial promoted singles at the format to No. 1 on Country Airplay for at least three weeks each. Both “Pour Me a Drink” and “I Had Some Help” are from his LP F-1 Trillion, which spent its first six weeks on the Top Country Albums chart at No. 1.
