In 2011, Ed Sheeran enlisted Grint for the ‘Lego House’ music video – which has gone on to become the singer’s most iconic visual yet. In that 14-year-old video, Grint played Sheeran’s doppelgänger and stalker and is taken into custody after breaking into the singer’s tour bus and attempts to impersonates him onstage.

A teaser for the new song ‘A Little More’ seemingly sees Grint reprising his role, though it’ll pick up from the stalking being released from prison. What happens next remains to be seen – the music video for ‘A Little More’ is set to arrive this Thursday (August 7).

Sheeran wrote on social media along with the teaser: “14 years later me and @rupertgrint are reunited. I had this wild idea after writing the song, and thankfully rupert was up for it. It’s an utterly bonkers video for a very upbeat, fun, but angry song. Think this one is gonna be a lot of people’s fav song from ‘Play’. Out Thursday, watch out for more stuff coming x.”

As mentioned by Sheeran, ‘A Little More’ will feature on his upcoming album, ‘Play’, which is due out this September. The record has been previewed by three songs so far: ‘Azizam’, ‘Old Phone’. and ‘Sapphire’. Sheeran has also shared that he plans to share new music every two or three weeks.

He recently revealed that ‘Play’ “was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life”, before unveiling a guitar-heavy collaboration with John Mayer and Dave Grohl called ‘Drive’ for the F1 film.

Since then, Sheeran has announced three huge homecoming shows in Ipswich for this summer. Find any remaining tickets here.
