Drake Taps Julia Wolf, Yeat for New Single ‘Dog House’

Drake is welcoming Julia Wolf and referencing himself on his new single, “Dog House.” On Monday night, the rap star released the collaboration, featuring an intro by Wolf and a verse from Yeat.

Wolf’s vocals open for a slower, electric guitar-backed part of the song. Then Drake comes crashing in with a high-energy verse, and maybe a diss?

“Shout out to her ex, he a crash out/Took too many pills, he a crash out,” raps Drake in the chorus. “She in Hidden Hills in a glass house/I like what I saw, and so I cashed out.”

He later refers to himself and also to the Notorious B.I.G. with the line: “Just like Biggie said, I just need one chance, baby/Just like Drizzy said, I just need one dance, baby.”

Yeat joins for a fiery verse of his own toward the end of the song. “Fuck a money tree, I’m a cash cow/If I ain’t give a fuck then, I don’t give a fuck now,” Yeat declares. “Got that lil’ employee mad ’cause he fanned out.”

Drake previewed the song during his livestreamed Iceman episode last week, where he hits a club where his new songs are playing.

Drake is currently on his massive European tour, which has seen him stop in stadiums and arenas. He’s next set to play Berlin’s Uber Arena on Sept. 11 and 14, before three shows in Munich, and a pair of performances in Hamburg at the end of the month.

“Doghouse” follows the release of “Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2” and “Which One,” Drake’s collaborations with PartyNextDoor and Central Cee, respectively. Meanwhile, this is Yeat’s first drop since his EP Dangerous Summer, which released on Aug. 1. For her part, Wolf shared her third album Pressure in May, featuring her song “In My Room.”
