Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg Are Opening Their Still G.I.N. Cocktail Lounge in Nashville

Downtown Nashville is no stranger to musically-themed bars, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are bringing some hip-hop flair to 2nd Avenue.

The Still G.I.N. Lounge is set to open on April 4 in the same four-story building that hosts Nashville Live! and will bring a “smooth sophistication of a top-tier cocktail lounge with the energy and cultural influence of the legendary duo,” a release around the announcement said.

While many bars on the strip focus on country or rock, Dre and Snoop are adding hip-hop to the mix as the lounge will feature a rotation of DJs and live performances centering around rap, R&B and funk.

Fans can expect a “blend of sophistication and edge, where West Coast swagger meets Southern soul.” Drinks will use Snoop and Dre’s signature Still G.I.N. and Gin & Juice for cocktails with a drink menu that includes the Platinum Negroni, Bee’s Knees, OG-OF and a Nashville Nightcap.

Artists have tapped into their entrepreneurial spirit while attaching their names to launch bars in Nashville over the last few years, including Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, Morgan Wallen and Garth Brooks.

The new lounge isn’t the first time that Dre and Snoop have team up recently — the longtime collaborators and West Coast rap dignitaries reunited in December to release their Missionary album, which served as the follow-up to Snoop’s 1993 Doggystyle debut.

Missionary debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 with 38,000 album-equivalent units earned in the first week. The project featured 50 Cent, Eminem, Method Man, Sting and Jelly Roll, and was accompanied by an action-packed short film.
