Doves announce winter 2025 UK tour dates and new ‘Best Of’ compilation ‘So, Here We Are’

Doves are celebrating nearly three decades together by sharing an upcoming ‘Best Of’ album and more UK tour dates.

The new record is called  ‘So, Here We Are’ and is to be released on multiple formats on November 14 via EMI North. Visit here to pre-order.

It marks the first of its kind to be shared from the band on vinyl and promises to deliver a mix of singles, album tracks, and rarities spanning their entire 27-year releasing history – which began with their ‘Cedar’ EP in 1998.

The album will arrive on double vinyl, including standard black and collectors’ coloured variants, plus anticipated record shop exclusives. The CD editions will also include a fans-only, alternative, deluxe packaging option.

While more details about the tracklisting are set to be shared at a later date, the band have confirmed that the compilation will include a previously unreleased track.

As well as announcing the release, Jez and Andy Williams have also added more dates to their upcoming live shows. These follow on from them releasing ‘Constellations For The Lonely’ and playing 16 concerts this spring in celebration of the latest album.

The tour sees co-founding bassist and vocalist Jimi Goodwin remain absent, and shows continue later this month with a slot at Solfest in Cumbria.

Other previously announced dates include shows at Halifax’s Piece Hall, Lindisfarne’s Festival, and Birmingham’s Moseley Folk & Arts Festival.

Four new shows have been confirmed today (August 4), taking place at Dundee’s LIVEHOUSE, London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, Bournemouth’s O2 Academy and Cambridge’s Junction on December 12, 14, 15 and 16, respectively.

Tickets go on general sale on August 13 at 10am BST. Visit here for tickets and check out a new list of dates below.

The Manchester indie veterans marked their return in November 2024 with the single ‘Renegades’ and the announcement of the aforementioned sixth studio album ‘Constellations For The Lonely’.

That came after the band were forced to pull the tour for the record so that frontman Jimi Goodwin could focus on his mental health. Brothers Jez and Andy Williams then took on vocal duties while the frontman continues his recovery.

Speaking of the decision, Goodwin told NME last year: “I’m not going out live this time. The door’s not closed on that chapter; I just have to honour my sobriety and do what I need to in order to maintain that. I’m not ready to perform yet.”

He continued: “Jez and Andy have got my complete blessing. I’m absolutely thrilled for them. They still want to be jobbing and gigging musicians. It’s part of the package for them, and it is for me too, but right now I don’t want to upset any apple carts. You’ve not heard the last of me performing again with Doves.”
