Doechii Is Bringing ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’ Tour to a Swamp Near You

After supporting SZA, Doja Cat, and Beyoncé on the road, Top Dawg Entertainment rapper Doechii will headline her own tour supporting her critically acclaimed new mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. Across 12 dates, she’ll hit select cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Paris, London, and Berlin.

Rolling Stone‘s four-star review of Alligator Bites Never Heal celebrated it as “one of the year’s very best albums,” writing that the self-proclaimed “Swamp Princess” from Tampa, Florida (where her tour will stop) is “a fully realized artist, with immense technical and curatorial skill.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, she explained that opening for Doja Cat on the Scarlet tour gave her insight on how to run her own. “I learned just a lot about how a proper tour is supposed to function,” Doechii said. “[Doja Cat] just really let me be myself, and I really, really appreciated that, and I did not take it for granted.”

Born Jaylah Hickmon, Doechii first garnered global eyes with the TikTok smashes “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” and “What It Is (Block Boy).” Ahead of her quickly beloved mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal — her first full-length project — she also released the dance track “Alter Ego” with JT of City Girls and the laidback smokers anthem “Persuasive,” featuring a remix by her labelmate SZA. She recently performed her first collaboration with Katy Perry, “I’m His, He’s Mine,” with Perry at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Pre-sale for the North American dates will begin tomorrow, Sept. 17, at 9:00 AM local time, while general ticket sales will start on Sept. 20, at 9:00 AM local time. For more information, visit Doechii’s official website.
