The Tampa Bay rapper didn’t flinch or waste time putting narratives to bed, as Doechii addresses bogus internet chatter that she’s an “industry plant.”
“All that industry plant s—t whack/ I see it on the blogs, I see you in the chats/ You suck every rap n—a d—k from the back/ But what’s the agenda when the it girl Black,” she raps.
Doechii continues to grit her teeth while declaring that the accolades she’s earned along the way were from hard work. “Y’all can’t fathom that I work this hard/ And y’all can’t fathom that I earned this chart,” she proclaims.
The 27-year-old Grammy winner returns for a third verse, as she flaunts a Kendrick Lamar co-sign and plans to address the misogyny entrenched in hip-hop on her highly anticipated album next year.
“They callin’ me the intellect amongst the p—y rap/ I still be poppin’ p—y, them my sisters, so I can’t agree with that/ These n—s misogynistic, I’ll address it on the album,” she promises.
It’s not Doechii and SZA’s first collaboration, as the “Snooze” singer previously hopped on the rapper’s “Persuasive” remix in 2022.
Doechii will look to build on her Grammy success at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where she picked up five nominations behind her first top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Anxiety.” The Gotye-sampling cut is nominated for best rap song, best rap performance, best music video, song of the year and record of the year.
