Def Leppard to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame: Here’s the Date

Def Leppard is set to receive the 2,825th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 11:30 a.m. PT. Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, president and CEO Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), will be guest speakers at the event, which will be emceed by Bob Buchmann, Sirius XM radio personality.

The star is located at 1750 N. Vine St., in front of the historic Capitol Records building. The event will be streamed live at the Walk of Fame’s website.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Def Leppard to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer, said in a statement. “… Def Leppard has earned a permanent place not only in music history, but now on one of the most famous sidewalks in the world.”

Def Leppard were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 (on their first nomination), with Queen’s Brian May doing the honors. They have had two Diamond albums in the U.S. – Hysteria, which is certified at the 12 million level, and Pyromania, certified at 10 million. The band has topped the Billboard 200 twice, with Hysteria and Adrenalize, and the Billboard Hot 100 once, with “Love Bites.”

Def Leppard consists of Joe Elliott (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick Savage (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar) and Rick Allen (drums).

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce administers the Walk of Fame for the City of Los Angeles and has hosted the iconic star ceremonies for decades. Millions of people have visited the cultural landmark since 1960.
