David Bowie ‘Ready, Set, Go!’ live album to be released for Record Store Day 2025

A special edition of David Bowie‘s ‘Ready, Set, Go!’ live album will be released for this year’s Record Story Day.

‘Ready, Set, Go! (Live, Riverside Studios ’03)’ is set for release via Parlophone Records on April 12. The limited edition double vinyl LP and CD will be in collaboration with Record Store Day 2025. The album is a live recording of Bowie’s September 8, 2003 interactive satellite event which took place at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London.

The event aired in 86 theatres across 26 countries and featured a Q&A segment with Bowie himself. The one-off concert saw the rock icon perform his album ‘Reality’ in its entirety for the first time ever.

‘Ready, Set, Go!’ will feature the complete 11-song set that Bowie performed at the special gig for the first time as well as three previously unreleased tracks. To celebrate the announcement, the live performance of ‘New Killer Star’ has been released. Check it out above.

The event will see over 270 independent record shops across the UK – as well as thousands more globally – welcome a new wave of vinyl releases, including one-off LPs and limited-edition special versions of past releases. As ever, there will also be a wide variety of in-store parties and a celebration of independent record store culture.

In other Bowie-related news, Nosferatu director Robert Eggers was confirmed to write and direct the sequel of the fantasy classic Labyrinth.

The original film, which starred Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as teenager Sarah Williams, has never had a sequel or a remake, but speculation has been rife for many years.
