Dan + Shay Sign with New Management Team

Grammy-winning country duo Dan + Shay have signed with The Core Entertainment’s co-founders/CEOs Simon Tikhman and Kevin “Chief” Zaruk for artist management.

“We’ve always admired The Core’s ‘music-first’ mentality, and from our first conversations with Simon, Chief, and the entire team, we knew that it was the perfect home for us,” said Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney in a statement. “They have built something truly special, and we are proud to be a part of the story they are writing. We believe in their passion and vision for our music and can’t wait to launch the next chapter of our career together. The best is yet to come.

The Warner Records Nashville artists have released such hits as “Tequila,” “Speechless,” “10,000 Hours” (with Justin Bieber), “Glad You Exist” and “Save Me the Trouble,” landing eight No. 1s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. Most recently, the pair has gone viral for their harmony-filled remake of Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.” They have also released the new holiday tune “Long Live Christmas,” following the release of last year’s It’s Officially Christmas: The Double Album, and are working on new music.

“Dan + Shay are rare talents — world-class vocalists, songwriters, and performers whose music continues to connect on a global level. We’re honored to join their team and look forward to building on everything they’ve created while opening new doors across music, touring, and partnerships,” said Tikhman and Zaruk in a statement.

The Core Entertainment’s roster includes Bailey Zimmerman, Cameron Whitcomb, Nate Smith, Josh Ross and Nickelback. In addition to the management division, the company also includes a Universal Music Group-distributed label, and strategic brand and media ventures.

Dan + Shay were previously managed by Sandbox Entertainment.
