Craig David announces ‘Born To Do It’ 25th anniversary show at Hammersmith Apollo

Craig David has announced a one-off show to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his debut album ‘Born To Do It’ for 2026.

The singer will play the album in full, along with other material, in a huge show at London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on Thursday 9 April 2026.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (October 3), with fans signed to David’s mailing list getting access to a pre-sale code on Wednesday. Find your tickets here.

David has said: “25 years ago, ‘Born to Do It’ changed my life and so many of yours. I couldn’t let this anniversary pass without celebrating it with you. So, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be performing at The Eventim Apollo for an exclusive show on 9th April next year, performing the entire album from start to finish.”

“It’ll be a night to sing, vibe and celebrate together,” he added.

‘Born To Do It’ was released in August 2000 and is seen as a landmark release in the UK garage and 2-step movements. A UK Number One album, it was the fastest-selling debut album ever by a British male solo artist and it has gone on to see over 7.5million copies worldwide. It is remembered for the huge singles ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘7 Days’.

In a four-star review at the time, NME wrote: “’Born To Do It’ breathes new life into the cliches of R&B, marking out Craig David as the first British contender to have an icicle’s chance in hell of cracking the Stateside R&B market since, ooh, Seal.”

In April, David joined Usher on stage at London’s O2 Arena for duets of both ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘7 Days’, as part of the latter’s ‘Past Present Future’ tour.

David’s ninth studio album ‘Commitment’ was released in August, his first release since 2022’s ‘22’. It included appearances from JoJo, Tiwa Savage and Louisa Johnson and made the Top Ten on the UK Albums Chart.
