Country star Hardy abruptly cancels Europe and UK tour just days before kickoff

American country-rock singer-songwriter Hardy has abruptly cancelled his European and UK tour just days before it was meant to kick off.

Hardy was due to kick off his run this Thursday (June 19) at Copenhell festival in Denmark, followed by stops at Pinkpop and Graspop Metal Meeting. He would then embark on a string of solo headlining dates in Netherlands, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin until June 3.

However, the musician yesterday (June 16) briefly announced on social media that he’s “decided to cancel the European leg” of the tour. While Hardy did not explicitly share a reason for the cancellation, he said it “wasn’t an easy decision but one I had to make for my band, crew and my family.”

Hardy has also promised that he’ll “be back as soon as I can”, and confirmed that all ticket-holders will automatically receive full refunds via their point of purchase.

Hardy is still scheduled to resume his North American tour next month (July 18), that will take him through late September.

The tour is in support of Hardy’s 2024 album ‘Quit!!’, which sees him exploring a nu-metal sound mixed with his typical country style. The album featured Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst on the track ‘SOUL4SALE’.

The song features rap verses from Durst, who yearns for both spiritual redemption: “But me I want the cross from the resurrection (Jesus) / So I can clone the one and only man himself (Jesus)”) and hard partying (“I’m ready for the weekdays to turn into the weekends / Never know what day it is”.
