Coachella 2025: Stream Green Day’s Long-Awaited Headlining Set

Punk rockers are making their debut on the Coachella stage by closing down the second night of the festival

Lady Gaga closed down the first night of Coachella with an opulent, career-spanning performance, and tonight, fans will gather to see Green Day take the main stage. The punk rockers already had some fun at the festival: Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong joined The Go-Gos to perform on Friday.

Fans can stream Green Day’s headlining performance on Coachella’s YouTube channel. This year, Coachella is hosting a livestream both weekends for the 2025 festival on YouTube, and you can watch many of the performers on each stage across six channels.

Aside from catching festival-goers’ TikToks or social posts, the only way to livestream Coachella from home is through the Coachella livestream on YouTube this year. YouTube has set up six different livestream channels for the two weekends, which will all stream different artists at the same time. Coachella’s YouTube channels will go live starting at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and you can even catch replays of some of the sets on Coachella’s YouTube channels through the weekend.

The performance is the first time Green Day has ever played for Coachella audiences, marking a long-anticipated festival debut. The California rockers had never performed as a band until now (though frontman Billie Joe Armstrong did join the Replacements back in 2014.) Back in November, the band told Rolling Stone that festival-goers should “bring your rage, your hope, and your loudest voice” to their set, setting the vibe for what many expect to be an outspoken and in-your-face show.
