Clairo will no longer perform at Primavera Sound 2025. In a statement to fans, the musician cited complications with logistics related to building out her set at the Barcelona-based music festival.
“There are some logistical issues with getting my show to/from Primavera that have forced my hand here,” Clairo wrote. “I never want to give my fans anything but the absolute best set I can do, and that won’t be possible at this time. I’m so sorry again and I hope to be able to make it up to you sooner than later.”
Primavera Sound shared a separate statement on Instagram, sharing: “We are deeply saddened by this news and share the fans’ frustration. We, too, were very much looking forward to welcoming her again at Primavera Sound Barcelona.” Clairo added: “I’m so sad about it, because Primavera is iconic and returning to the fest is something I’ve been looking forward to for ages.”
Clairo first performed at Primavera Sound in 2019 shortly before the release of her debut studio album Immunity. Earlier this year, she took the stage at Coachella in support of her third studio album, Charm, which arrived last year. “Sling and Immunity were both extremely informative for me, and I couldn’t have made this record without the context of either of them at all,” she told Rolling Stone last year. “I was like, ‘How can these two records come from the same person?’ Charm was this project of, ‘Let’s see how we can meld both together to really show the one person.’”
