Christina Hendricks played an indie-packed “shoe pop dream gaze” DJ set at a San Diego bar on April Fool’s Day

Christina Hendricks played a four-hour DJ set of indie, shoegaze and dream pop classics in San Diego this week – see footage and the setlist below. 

The Mad Men star announced that she would be behind the decks for a stint at the city’s Part Time Lover bar on Wednesday (April 1), and actually showed up to play what has been dubbed a “shoe pop dream gaze” set entirely on vinyl. 

As reported by The MATMAG on Substack, the actor – also known for DriveThe Neon Demon and Toy Story 4 – was dancing and singing throughout her set and was joined by her husband, camera operator George Bianchini. 

Her 46-song set included music from Spiritualized, Wolf Alice, The Knife, Cocteau Twins, St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey, Tori Amos, The Stone Roses and Beach House.
