Check out Orbital and Confidence Man’s dancefloor-dominating collab ‘Re-Lush’

Orbital and Confidence Man have joined forces for the dancefloor-ready collaboration ‘Re-Lush’ – check it out below.

The new track draws influence from Orbital’s ‘Lush 3-1′ and ‘Lush 3-2′, originally released on the Hartnoll brothers’ ‘Brown Album’ from 1993. An expanded re-issue of that record is coming out on May 23 in 4CD and 4LP versions via London Records – see the full details for that release here and pre-order/pre-save it here.

‘Re-Lush’ sees the two distinguished electronic duos working seamlessly alongside each other, with Confidence Man singer Janet Planet adding vocals over Sugar Bones’ infectiously hypnotic production, which channels Orbital’s seminal ‘90s rave energy.

Listen to ‘Re-Lush’ here:

Orbital have said: “Confidence Man have done that rare but always strived for thing with a remix, it’s totally Lush, totally Orbital, totally modern, and totally Confidence Man! How did they manage to get all that into one track! I’m even going to nick bits of it for when we play festivals over the summer, that’s how much we love it!”

Confidence Man added: “Lush is one of our favorite dance tracks of all time, so we were like rabid dogs with the stems in our hands. Kids in a cooked candy store. Dreams really do come true if you dream hard enough, and we’re proof.”

To mark the re-issue of the ‘Brown Album’, Orbital are heading on the round around the UK and Europe, including upcoming dates in Brighton and London and festivals including BBK Live and Wilderness. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

Earlier this year, Orbital teamed up with actor Tilda Swinton for their new single ‘Deepest’, a reworking of 1989 track ‘Deeper’. It was debuted at Glastonbury last year, where Swinton joined them on stage – rekindling a connection that was first formed for the video to 1996 single ‘The Box’.

Orbital spoke to NME earlier this year about working with Confidence Man, with Paul Hartnoll saying: “We’re going into the studio in a few weeks, to see what happens. Listening to our respective remixes, I think a lot of magic will happen. They’re my kind of dance band: wild Australians who don’t take themselves too seriously and get away with it.

“They have an Australian attitude to what they do: it’s just fun. They appeal to my absurdist nature. There’s something mad to what Confidence Man do that I really enjoy. It’s a good match.”
