Giggs has shared new single called ‘Gorgeous’, produced by former Paramore bassist Jeremy Davis. Check it out below.
The track follows on from the recently released single ‘11th Of May’, which arrived last month and saw the UK rap titan take a vulnerable and honest look inwards.
Taking on a new approach this time around, the bass-heavy ‘Gorgeous’ – produced by former Paramore bassist Jeremy Davis, who is now professionally known as JERMbea t– sees Giggs capture more of a bold, tongue-in-cheek attitude. His vocals sit ahead of a dark, ominous beat, and the lyrics see him celebrate the lighter side of life.
“Baddies in my car look gorgeous / And we’re going my yard, big fortress,” he raps. “She’s hidin’ she’s in love, but she’s on my arm/ My brother Tom got Irish blood, that’s a lucky charm”.
“‘11th May’ was me out with the kids and the dog,” said Giggs. “And then ‘Gorgeous’ is the night after when I’ve dropped the kids off at their mums and I’m ready for a few drinks.”
Before his collaboration with Giggs, Davis was a member of Paramore from their formation in 2005 up until 2015.
The new music from Giggs follows the rapper teaming up with Quavo last October on the new track ‘Big In Da Game’ – which marked the debut single on KidSuper Records. Before then, Giggs made a surprise cameo at Nicki Minaj‘s show in London, when the American rapper played at The O2 as part of the UK and European leg of her ‘Pink Friday 2’ world tour.
The UK rap icon’s last album arrived in 2023 in the form of ‘Zero Tolerance’.
