Chappell Roan has shared her Spotify Wrapped results, with Heart‘s 1977 hit ‘Barracuda’ her most listened track of the year.

In an Instagram post shared yesterday (December 4), a younger Roan is seen posing next to a car decked out in camo decal and a mount of bull’s horns. “This pic kind of insane,” she wrote in its caption.
The former NME Cover star also revealed her top five artists of the year, as tabulated by Spotify Wrapped. The streaming giant’s annual feature has become a staple of music lovers this festive period – reflecting their listening habits from the past 12 months in its ‘Celebration Of Your Year’ experience.
For Roan, who has had a milestone 2024 herself, she revealed that her top five most listened to artists this year are – from one to five – Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Heart, Justice and Kacey Musgraves.
“Top song was barracuda ofc,” she wrote, referring to the signature single by the hard rock band. Roan previously covered the song during her most recent US tour in October.
The release of Spotify Wrapped also revealed top global results for artists in different categories – Roan’s ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ landed in the UK’s most streamed songs and most viral songs globally, while her album ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess’ was the seventh most-streamed album in the UK.
‘Good Luck, Babe!’ also tops the list of NME‘s 50 Best Songs of 2024. Nick Levine wrote: “There are hits, and then there are career-making hits. Released in April, this standalone single sent Chappell Roan supernova and turned her debut album, ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess’, into an overdue smash.”

Earlier today, it was reported that hip-hop figure Flavor Flav came out in support of Roan, after his initial comments criticising her stance against the behaviour of certain fans.
“I was asked about Chappell Roan and was told that she was rude to fans,” Flav tweeted. “I don’t really know her or the situation and said that it’s a mistake because it’s the fans that make us who we are. BUT,,, if individuals are threatening her privacy or boundaries,,, good for her to speak up,!!”
