BTS to Deliver First U.S. Performance in Nearly 4 Years at Fan Event for New Album

The full band of superstars is hitting the stage at an exclusive Spotify event in New York

BTS‘ comeback game is strong. The band of superstars will officially hit the stage for their first U.S. performance in nearly four years.

BTS will perform in New York City for Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE, an exclusive event celebrating the release of the band’s first album in five years, Arirang. The event will take place on Monday, March 23, just a few days after the new album drops on March 20.

Spotify will invite 1,000 of BTS’ top fans and most devoted listeners to the event, which will include immersive album-themed experiences on top of the performance. It’s one of the many ways the streaming giant is helping BTS’ fans, named the ARMY, celebrate the band’s highly anticipated comeback. Spotify also kicked off an in-app easter egg hunt that unlocks exclusive audio messages from RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, and a BTS-themed quiz for fans to test their knowledge.

The last time all of the members took the stage together in the States was back in 2022, for BTS’ Permission to Dance on Stage shows. After that, the band was forced to go on hiatus so that all seven members could complete their mandatory military service in South Korea.

But now, BTS is coming back at full speed. The day after Arirang drops, BTS will perform a free concert at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square. Then, on April 9, the band launches an 82-date world tour that will keep them on the road through March 2027. “The most important thing,” RM told GQ in the group’s first joint interview since announcing their hiatus in 2022, “is just that we are here back together again. We’re going to see the fans all over the world.”
