BTS Respond to Fans’ Questions Online Ahead of ‘Arirang’ Album

BTS are responding directly to the internet as anticipation builds around their upcoming album Arirang.

In a new video released by GQ, the K-pop superstars go undercover online, responding to fan questions pulled from platforms including X, Reddit, TikTok, Quora and YouTube. The segment follows the publication’s recurring format in which artists read and react to discussions circulating about them online.

Throughout the episode, the members address a mix of fan theories, inside jokes and long-running debates within the BTS community. They also fact-check details on their Wikipedia pages and respond to comments about the group’s reunion and evolving sound.

At several points in the video, the conversation turns to how the band’s music and perspectives have shifted since their early years, with the members acknowledging that their current material reflects a more mature stage of their careers.

The clip also touches on BTS’ long relationship with their global fanbase, ARMY, with the members reacting to questions about favourite fan moments and the culture that has grown around the group’s music over the past decade.

In one segment, the group discusses what they have missed most about working together while away from the spotlight and what it has been like to reunite in the studio.

The GQ appearance arrives ahead of the March 20 release of BTS’ next album, Arirang, which marks one of the group’s most significant projects since completing their mandatory military service and returning to activities as a full group. The upcoming record will be the group’s first major release since reconvening following the hiatus period that began in 2022.

Alongside the album, BTS are rolling out several additional projects tied to the comeback.

A concert film titled The Comeback Live is scheduled to debut on March 21, offering fans a performance-focused companion to the new era. A documentary, The Return, will follow shortly after, with the film set to begin streaming on Netflix on March 27.
