Bruno Mars has revealed that he has finished making his long-awaited next solo studio album.
The US singer-songwriter and producer released his third and most recent record, the multi-Grammy-winning ’24K Magic’, a decade ago in 2016. He later joined forces with Anderson .Paak to form the duo Silk Sonic, who released their LP ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’ in 2021.
Mars has since teamed up with Lady Gaga on the hit ballad ‘Die With A Smile’, worked with BLACKPINK’s Rosé on the huge joint track ‘APT.’, and featured on Sexyy Red’s single ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’.
Last night (Monday January 5), Mars welcomed in the new year by sharing a brief yet exciting update about his next full-length solo project.
“My album is done,” he wrote on X/Twitter, where he has over 36million followers. Many of his fans shared their excitement over the news in the replies section, with one writing: “We’ve been waiting for years man. Better be worth it.”
Another said: “Let’s fricken goooo. Missed you.” Someone else posted: “King is back.”
My album is done.

Mars has not shared any more information about his forthcoming new album, but the update suggests that it will arrive at some point in 2026.
In a four-star review of ’24K Magic’, NME described the LP as “half an hour of party tunes that sound like the best bits of ’90s R&B”. It added: “Few albums designed to sound like a party actually play like one, but Bruno Mars has pulled it off with style.”
Meanwhile, Rosé and Mars’ ‘APT.’ was recently named one of TikTok’s top 20 global songs of 2025. The track previously landed at Number 14 on NME‘s 50 best songs of 2024 list.
Elsewhere, Mars joined Eddie Vedder, Slash, Yungblud, Anthony Kiedis and more to cover some rock classics at a lavish corporate Christmas party in New York.
In other news, the singer recently revealed that he was close to scrapping his hit Lady Gaga collab ‘Die With A Smile’, but changed his mind after learning that she was working on Joker: Folie à Deux.
