Bonnaroo Pivots to Full Refunds for Canceled Festival, ‘Not Announcing Future Dates’

Bonnaroo organizers are addressing fan blowback regarding refunds for the canceled 2025 installment of the festival, which was cut short by rain last weekend. They’re also refraining from announcing future dates of the Manchester, Tennessee, fest.

“We want you to know that were still listening and actively discussing plans to improve The Farm that we love so much. At this time, we will not be announcing future dates,” a statement read on the festival’s social media.

Originally, Bonnaroo pledged to refund 75 percent of festivalgoers’ ticket purchase amount after rains flooded the four-day camping weekend after just one full day of music. Fans voiced their unhappiness with that proposal online, with many signing a petition demanding a full refund.

While the campaign apparently worked, the future of the festival is now cloudy. “When plans for the future take shape, you all be the first to know,” the statement read.

Along with Luke Combs, who performed last Thursday on the first day of the fest, Bonnaroo 2025 was to be headlined by Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, and Hozier. Of the headliners, only Combs was able to perform, delivering a set that included guest appearances by Miranda Lambert, Jon Bellion, and Marcus King. Wisp, the Droptines, the Lemon Twigs, Die Spitz, Daniel Donato, and the Insane Clown Posse also performed on Thursday.

The cancellation marks the second time in four years that organizers have been forced to cancel Bonnaroo because of weather. The 2021 installment was nixed before it even began after flood waters made the grounds unsafe.

“Everyone who works on this show loves Bonnaroo deeply,” Bonnaroo organizers wrote in Friday’s lengthy statement. “Some of us have been here since the early years, some were fans first, and some are new but fell in love with it as soon as they felt your energy and spirit on The Farm. We look forward to this show all year. It’s what reenergizes us and restores our faith in community every single summer.

“Our main goal is to give you the most memorable weekend of your lives every year. This cancellation broke our hearts beyond measure, but we knew it had to happen for your safety. Thank you for your patience and perseverance through this difficult situation.”
