Blink-182 team up with ‘Pac-Man’ for 25th anniversary of ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’

Blink-182 have announced a collaboration with Pac-Man to celebrate 25 years of their pop-punk classic ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’.

The limited-edition crossover merch collection will feature a numbered Blink-182 x Pac-Man Comic Con vinyl edition of Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, produced by Blood Records.

A Blink-182 version of the Pac-Man x 7-Eleven t-shirt bassist Mark Hoppus wore during the band’s comeback set at Coachella Festival 2023 will also be available. “A moment that unexpectedly captured the mix of Blink-182 humor, arcade nostalgia and convenience store culture will now be shared with fans during San Diego Comic-Con,” explains a press release, with fans able to pick up the collection next weekend (July 23 – July 26) at the special Blink-182 x Pac-Man Comic Con booth (#1415)

According to a press release, “Comic Con attendees can take a trip down nostalgia lane at the Blink-182 x Pac-Man booth, with an arcade-themed space that also celebrates the cultural resurgence of the band as they commemorate the 25th anniversary of their defining album. The visually rich booth includes the stylised animated depiction of the band along with co-branded arcade cabinets and a claw machine with Pac-Man plush and other Blink-182 items as prizes.” Visitors will also be able to take pictures with Pac-Man and the Blink-182 bunny mascot.

More details about the collaboration are expected to be announced soon.

Last month, Blink-182 released a 25th anniversary edition of ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’ on streaming, which features the 13 original tracks and 6 b-sides. A vinyl release is also available to pre-order.

Blink-182’s last album ‘One More Time…’ was released in 2023 and the band have already confirmed some huge European shows for next summer. Blink-182 will headline Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park and Rock For People next June, and play a trio of their own headline shows in Berlin, Paris and Milan the same month.

In other news, Fortnite has released a new summer trailer that teases a collaboration with pop sensation Addison Rae.
