The Thai K-pop idol was interviewed by Variety while at the premiere held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on February 10, where she shared the anxiety she felt being on a set for the first time.

“It is my first acting [experience] so I don’t know what to expect on set, but everybody just being so supportive helped me a lot. So thank you, everyone,” she told the outlet, before recalling her rocky first day filming for the series. “I’m so nervous. I was sweating. I was like, ‘I can’t remember my lines.’ I’m blanked.”

Lisa also revealed that she had shared her previous single ‘Rockstar’ and its music video with her The White Lotus co-stars before it dropped, which she said was a result of the set’s “supportive” environment. “We’re just sharing what we do,” she said. “All of them are so supportive.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lisa mentioned that she “[doesn’t] know what to feel right now” with the season premiere approaching on February 16. “I’m just so excited. I can’t wait for all of you guys to watch this show,” she told the outlet.

Lisa most recently dropped a new collaboration single with Doja Cat and RAYE titled ‘Born Again’, marking the fourth track lifted from her upcoming debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’ so far. The record is due out in full on February 28.

‘Alter Ego’ was first announced in November 2024, after she spent the year dropping three singles – ‘Rockstar’, ‘New Woman’ featuring Rosalía and ‘Moonlit Floor’ – all of which will appear on the record.

‘New Woman’ was named by NME as one of the best 25 K-pop songs of 2024. “From the charismatic Rosalía feature to the artful airiness of the pre-chorus, ‘New Woman’ has a lot going for it – all which comes together effortlessly as one of the most intoxicating fares of the year,” writes NME’s Mika Chen.
