Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira and Doechii have also been confirmed for this year’s ceremony
The Grammy Awards have started to roll out the performers for this year’s ceremony, taking place on February 2nd at the Crypto.com Arena.
Among the confirmed performers are Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Shakira. Joining them will be most of the Best New Artist nominees: Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Raye, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims.
Trevor Noah will return as host this year. The ceremony is happening in the wake of ongoing, devastating wildfires raging across Southern California. Earlier this month, the Recording Academy confirmed that the ceremony would go on as planned but now be “reimagined.”
“In close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and responsible use of area resources, the 67th GRAMMY Awards telecast on CBS on February 2nd will proceed as planned,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Recording Academy Board of Trustees Chair Tammy Hurt wrote in a letter. “This year’s show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours.”
Grammy Week events will also be repurposed to further support the thousands of people who lost everything in the fires, as well as the families of the casualties. “We understand how devastating this past week has been on this city and its people,” Mason Jr. said in a statement.
“This is our home, it’s home to thousands of music professionals, and many of us have been negatively impacted. So after thoughtful consideration, and multiple assurances from state and local elected leaders, public safety agencies, and with support from our incredible artist community, we have decided to go ahead with the GRAMMY telecast and some select events. GRAMMY Week 2025 will not just be about honoring music, it will be about using the power of music to help rebuild, uplift and support those in need.”
