Beyoncé swaps horse for motorbike in new Levi’s ad – sparking more ‘Act III’ rock album theories

Beyoncé has appeared in a new ad for Levi’s, and it has some fans convinced that she is gearing up for a new era.

The new advert arrived today (August 4), and sees the multi-Grammy winner continue the theme of her latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter’ – which arrived last year and saw her take on a new country-inspired direction.

Advertising the brand’s range of jeans and shorts, Bey is seen playing pool alongside Timothy Olyphant, putting in a shift at an American diner, and washing a collection of diamonds at a laundromat.

One moment at the end, however, has fans convinced that she is dropping a hint about a new album.

While the majority of the minute-and-a-half ad sees her lean into the Americana style, the very end sees her take on a more intense look, wearing darker makeup, glam-rock style jeans, and driving off on a motorcycle. This, some suspect, feeds into the ongoing rumours that she will be sharing a rock album next.

The rumours emerged back in 2022, when the singer announced that she had a ‘three-act’ project on the way. The first part was the huge ‘Renaissance’ album, which saw her lean into dance influences, and the second was the aforementioned ‘Cowboy Carter’, which enlisted help from country icons including Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

Beyoncé is seen sitting on a horse on the official cover artwork for both LPs.

Rumours of a rock album coming next come as she has made nods to the genre countless times throughout her career – including having a close relationship with rock and roll legend Tina Turner, working alongside Prince, and sending flowers to Jack White, personally thanking him for how much he influenced her.

She then got people talking again when she donned an impressive mullet for a CR Fashion Book photo shoot. In June, the star thanked Paul McCartney for “writing one of the best songs ever made” with The Beatles’ ‘Blackbird’ – which she covered on ‘Cowboy Carter’.

“I know most is already stuff we’ve seen but OMG she starts on a horse and leaves on a bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! act iii here we go,” wrote one eager fan on Reddit, while someone else added that the new Levi’s ad was “the biggest act iii egg” yet.

Others were convinced that the times shown throughout the ad symbolised more than the different styles of jeans sold by Levi’s. “Texas 53 = 5/3??? I wonder if we are getting the first single of Act 3 on May 3rd 2026. Especially since May 29, 2026 falls on a Friday,” one shared, while another added: “Could they be dates?… 9:04pm – 9/4? beys birthday.”

“We going rock n roll for act III I’m so excited,” someone on X/Twitter chimed in, while another agreed: “Beyonce got on a motorcycle and drove off in the end of that Levi commercial. Cowboy Carter officially over… Rock era getting teased?”

‘Cowboy Carter’ saw Bey become the first Black woman to reach Number One on the US country chart with ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’, the first Black woman to score a Number One country album in the US charts, and earn praise from huge names including Michelle Obama and Paul McCartney. It also saw her win Album Of The Year at the Grammys, and embark on a huge worldwide tour that soon became the highest-grossing country tour ever.

In a five-star review of ‘Cowboy Carter’, NME wrote: “It’s an undeniable thrill to see [Beyoncé] swing so big on a project that dares her to be so intimate and vocal-focused.”

Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this summer earned her a glowing five-star review, with Nick Levine writing for NME: “As a performer, she remains pretty much flawless – who else can sing from a bucking mechanical bull without missing a note? And as a creator of stadium spectacle, she keeps getting better. No one leaving this show will be removing their cowboy hat on the ride home.”
