Yesterday (December 17), The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced new certifications for several of Beyoncé’s releases, bringing her total certified titles to a whopping 103, more than any other female artist ever.

Per the RIAA, the record comes as several of her albums and singles received new certifications.

Her latest album ‘Cowboy Carter’ has now earned Platinum status, while hit singles ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages’ have gone 2x Platinum and Gold respectively. Additionally, 2022’s ‘Renaissance’ has gone 2x Platinum.

Other new certifications include 2003’s ‘Crazy In Love’ and 2013’s ‘Drunk In Love’ – both with husband Jay-Z. The two songs have gone 8x Platinum.

Her highest certifications remain for songs ‘Halo’ and ‘Single Ladies’, both of which are certified 11x Platinum apiece.

The record-breaking feat comes as Beyoncé in November become the most-nominated musician in Grammy history. She previously tied Jay-Z with 88 nominations apiece, but has since been nominated for a whopping 11 awards at next year’s Grammys, all for ‘Cowboy Carter’. She now holds a record-breaking 99 nominations and in 2023 broke the record for most Grammy wins, taking home a total of 32 trophies.

‘Cowboy Carter’ scored a five-star review from NME upon its release, with Jenessa Williams writing: “Even if interpreted only on the grounds of artistic spectacle, it’s an undeniable thrill to see her swing so big on a project that dares her to be so intimate and vocal-focused, while making way for country’s up-and-comers too.”

The album clinched the seventh spot in NME‘s 50 Best Albums of 2024 list, and ’16 Carriages’ was named the eighth Best Song of 2024.

In other news, Beyoncé will soon headline the NFL’s Christmas-day game Halftime Show. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix. It has been confirmed that she will be performing songs off ‘Cowboy Carter’ live for the first time during the Halftime set.
