Beyoncé Adds ‘Single Ladies,’ ‘If I Were a Boy,’ Other Hits to Cowboy Carter Setlist on Night 2

Beyoncé added more of her hits to the setlist on Night 2 of her Cowboy Carter tour. On Thursday night at SoFi Stadium, the musician incorporated a new medley later in her show that included fan-favorites such as “Crazy in Love,” “Love on Top,” and “Single Ladies.”

Bey opened the fifth act of her set with “Texas Hold ‘Em” before transitioning into the Homecoming version of “Crazy in Love.” She then played “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” marking her first time performing the song since 2018.

After those two hits, she played “Love on Top,” which was also performed during the tour opener. She ended the medley with “Irreplaceable” and the emotional “If I Were a Boy,” playing the track for the first time since her 2014 tour.

The singer also changed the order of some of the songs she performed, playing Cowboy Carter standouts “Riiverdance,” “II Hands II Heaven,” and “Tyrant” in a row, unlike the first night of the tour earlier this week, which featured a different sequence.

Because of the setlist changes, fans began theorizing that Beyoncé may change the setlist for her explosive tour every night. During the show Thursday night, she also welcomed her daughter Rumi Carter and mother Tina Knowles to celebrate the launch of Knowles’ book, Matriarch, following “Protector.”

Beyoncé will continue the Cowboy Carter tour with three more shows in Los Angeles. She’ll then head to Chicago and New Jersey prior to a run of shows in London and Paris, before returning stateside to Houston, D.C., Atlanta, and closing shows in Las Vegas this July.

“Ultimately, Beyoncé delivered a Beyoncé-caliber stadium show devoid of genre limitations, and anchored by the stunning choreography of her more than 24 backup dancers,” read a Rolling Stone review of the show.
